Vineyard
Single vineyard approximately 45 years old. Low production and exclusively with native Douro grape varieties: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz.
Winemaking
The grapes were subjected to the traditional process of treading in a wine press during the first 24 hours of phenolic extraction, and were then vinified in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature and environment.
Maturation
Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel vats, followed by aging in new 500-liter French oak barrels for 20 months.
Bottling
Held on March 9, 2022: 1000 bottles of 750 ml, 100 bottles of 1500 ml and 10 bottles of 3000 ml.
Tasting Notes
Intense and concentrated ruby colour. Classic Douro nose, with notes of jam and candied fruit integrated into a set of balsamic nuances. In the mouth it is structured, with firm but smooth tannins, finishing long and persistent.
A promising wine with great longevity. Immediately enjoyable, ideal with cured cheeses, sausages, intense red meats and game.
Serving suggestion: between 16ºC and 18ºC, with prior decantation.
